A vacancy for a sales Consultant is available at Volcanoes Safaris, based in our Kigali office.
Reports to VS Sales Manager
Minimum experience of three years in the tourism industry with excellent attention to detail and an interest in hospitality and great ape conservation.
Must be able to deliver excellent customer service to agents and guests. Must have experience of MS Word and Excel and preferably Resrequest.
Excellent communication skills, both spoken and written. Must be dynamic, articulate and committed, with a willingness to learn.
Must work well under pressure and be able to meet tight deadlines.
Respond to lodge and safari inquiries by phone or email, create itineraries and quotes and make bookings and reservations for guests.
Follow VS sales team SOPs at all times to handle and confirm bookings and upsell VS lodges and safaris.
Issue necessary pre-safari information in a timely manner to the guests, lodges, finance and operations departments.
Contribute to sales weekly meetings to sales growth strategies and client’s feedback.
May require travel to VS lodges to accompany fam trips or site inspections or for internal training. May require work outside of normal working hours and occasional weekend work.
Other tasks as directed by the Sales Manager.
